  • Audio engineering professional with strong references
  • Deliver solutions for high quality audio against demanding deadlines
  • Possess ability to use listening skills to diagnose various audio issues and make corresponding tuning adjustments
  • Hold strong understanding of iOS and macOS software (e.g.: not afraid of spending all day in Terminal)
  • Exhibit strong troubleshooting skills with prototype tools, SW and HW Tuning, design and/or use of small speaker and microphone systems Tuning, design and/or use of EQs, compressors and other audio effects


Description Description
The Media Tuning Team is looking for an Audio Media Tuning Engineer who will work with both hardware and software development teams to develop the best possible audio experience for Apple products. You will use equalization, dynamics processing, limiting and other signal processing tools in order to create the highest quality sound possible within the constraints of the micro speaker systems and microphones integrated in Apple prototypes and products. This role involves working with software and hardware engineering teams in order to identify various system strengths and weaknesses, spending the majority of the time scrutinizing different paths that will eventually lead to the final tuning, and conducting both objective and subjective audio evaluations before a team of trained listeners. A personal passion for highest quality audio in the face of demanding system and time constraints is required.
